Building and maintaining relationships and a safe environment are critical to student success. Day-to-day conflicts arise in schools, at work, home and in our neighborhoods. Restorative practices teach us how to prevent and manage conflict in ways that support students, and adults, in making positive changes to their behavior.
Effective July 1, 2024, CT Public Act 23-167 requires schools to provide resources and training regarding research-based interventions, including restorative practices, to school employees. To support school districts in meeting these requirements, ACES is offering training in restorative practices, as well as opportunities to support implementation and school climate planning.
