The program serves families in Middlesex County. Our partners include Middlesex Hospital, Faith Lutheran Church, Russell Library, and Grace Episcopal Church.

Mission Statement & Purpose

Our mission is to ensure that the cornerstones of child development, family development, staff development and community building are in place for Middlesex County’s eligible families.

The purpose of the program is to utilize existing family and child services and to expand their capacity to provide the comprehensive array of family and child supports.

What does Early Head Start (EHS) do?

The ACES Early Head Start Partnership is a federally funded community-based program that serves eligible families with infants and toddlers up to 3 years old, as well as expectant families. The program serves and prioritizes families in Middlesex County. Our community partners include Middlesex Health, Faith Lutheran Church, and Grace Episcopal Church. These services are offered as a homebased option. ACES is the grantee and responsible for overall project administration.

The program offers the following core services:

  • Home visits
  • Services for pregnant women/expectant families
  • Socialization playgroups
  • Family partnerships and goal setting support
  • Community Partnerships to meet additional family needs
  • Family engagement and leadership opportunities
  • Health and behavioral health services
  • Developmental screenings
  • Support for special needs & disabilities
  • Education and school readiness
  • Transition planning to preschool
  • Transportation support

EHS also offers services to families of young children with disabilities or developmental delays in an inclusive environment.
