How Do I Create My Own Path?
Personal Goal Setting
*Dialectical Behavioral Strategies
*Social Emotional Skill Building within DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) classes will focus on behavioral changes, accepting situations through reflective ownership strategies in order to decrease social, education and community consequences. The DBT class focuses on specific skills emphasized in activities, projects and group work. These practices need to occur on a regular basis outside of the classroom. The classroom teachers collaborate with the school social worker, behavioral managers, families and school leaders on classroom topics in order to integrate the topics and practice into the youth’s daily lives.

Quotes:
“You have standards and expectations beyond what they would strive to do on their own. You don’t allow them to be mediocre by encouraging them to be the best version of themselves. You do this even after the kids leave the program.” ~CT Juvenile Justice Representative on ACES REGIONS (Anonymous)
“Our school district has been waiting for this type of program. It will really benefit some of our students.” Anonymous Educational Leader
