ACES Whitney High School Assistant Principal Appointed

(Hamden, CT – July 1, 2024) - Area Cooperative Educational Services (ACES) proudly announces the appointment of Mr. Eric Paradis as the new Assistant Principal for ACES Whitney Academy, effective July 1, 2024. Mr. Paradis brings a wealth of experience and a proven record of accomplishment in educational leadership and special education, making him an invaluable addition to the ACES team.

Eric Paradis holds a Master’s in Social Work with a focus on Administration and Planning and a master’s in Special Education with a focus on learning disabilities, both from San Francisco State University. He has extensive educational credentials, including 092 Intermediate Administration and Supervision, 071 School Social Work, and 065 K-12 Special Education certifications from the state of Connecticut. His career spans over two decades of dedicated service in various educational roles, demonstrating his commitment to enhancing learning environments for students with diverse needs.

In his most recent role as Instructional Supervisor of Special Education at Milford Board of Education, Mr. Paradis spearheaded initiatives that significantly improved student transition processes, leading to greater independence and active involvement in their educational planning. He established a groundbreaking collaboration with Housatonic Community College, seamlessly enabling senior students to transition into higher education with specialized support.

Previously, Mr. Paradis served as Coordinator of Special Education in Stratford Board of Education, overseeing comprehensive special education programs across multiple schools and alternative learning environments. His leadership was instrumental in enhancing staff training, implementing effective behavioral support plans, and optimizing educational outcomes for students with behavioral disorders.

As Assistant Principal, Mr. Paradis will collaborate closely with Principal Juliellen Rodriguez to ensure all students thrive in a safe and supportive learning environment. His leadership, deeply rooted commitment to student development, will be pivotal in advancing ACES Whitney Academy’s commitment to academic excellence and holistic student development.
