Juliellen Rodriguez Named Assistant Principal at ACES Whitney Academy

(North Haven, CT – September 7, 2021) Area Cooperative Educational Services (ACES) is pleased to announce the appointment of Juliellen Rodriguez as Assistant Principal of Whitney Academy. She will join Assistant Principal Patricia Hart and Principal John Tarka on the ACES Whitney Academy administrative team.

“We are very excited to have Julie join ACES Whitney Academy,” said ACES Executive Director Thomas Danehy. “Her overall experience and skills embody the ACES mission of transforming lives through education, innovation, and leadership. She will bring a wealth of knowledge and provide equity in learning for students with special needs.”

Rodriguez has spent the past decade as a special education teacher at John Barry Elementary and Venture Academy in Meriden. She holds a sixth-year degree in Educational Leadership and a Master of Science degree in Special Education from Southern Connecticut State University. Additionally, she has a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education/Elementary Education and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish Language from Southern Connecticut State University.   

“As assistant principal at Whitney Academy, I am excited to join this amazing community,” said Rodriguez. “I am looking forward to serving the students, families, and staff as we strive to help every student realize their fullest potential.”
