ACES Selected as Top Workplace 2012

Creating an abundance of jobs may be the key to restoring economic prosperity, but some argue it’s how people feel in their jobs that will drive success. For the second year, employees from across Fairfield, Litchfield and New Haven counties have spoken - singling out 35 companies that have raised the bar for the exemplary treatment of staffers. Hearst Connecticut Newspapers’ partner, Workplace Dynamics, collected feedback from over 14,000 employees at 62 companies about the work they do.

Hamden students relish restaurant business with mock venture

Members of the Junior Academy at ACES Wintergreen Interdistrict Magnet School got a jump-start on those skills when they learned what they needed to do to start their own restaurant. They worked on the project under the tutelage of enrichment teacher Ingrid Ellinger-Doviak.
