GUILFORD – It leaps out at you and grabs your heart, and if three minutes later you don’t have a lump in your throat, you couldn’t have been watching or listening very closely.
The scene is the crowded New Haven Union Station. On Nov. 20 last year at 5:30 p.m., people sit on benches or wander down the aisles. A huge train schedule overhang dominates the room and if you look closely, you can see a large camera and speakers peering out of it. -

NEW HAVEN — Conner Chirico drew a picture of a cheese man named “Mr. Cheese." His special power?If he gets eaten, he grows back.Cheese with such a power would be a great boon for Caseus Fromagerie and Bistro, where Conner and other first- and second-graders from Wintergreen Interdistrict Magnet School were invited last week to share the cheese-y characters they created.

It was no wonder Ayres-Brown took first place in the 29th annual Shakespeare Competition for high school students. Ayres-Brown attends ACES Education Center for the Arts in New Haven.
