ACES Convocation 2013

November 5, 2013: ACES held its 2013 Convocation. This year's theme of "Living Our Beliefs Every Day" was brought to life by keynote speaker, Dr. Guy Doud, performances by the ACES Educational Center for the Arts Cello Quartet with Vocalist, and the Wintergreen Interdistrict Magnet School Chorus. Special guests included Connecticut State Commissioner of Education Stefan Pryor, ACES Governing Board Chair, Alicia Clapp, and ACES Governing Board Member Norm Hicks. The day featured a health and wellness fair and afternoon workshops.

Shelton jazz guitarist chosen for national honor ensemble

"Rocky" Helps ACES Village School Celebrate Baseball Day

"Rocky" the mascot for the New Britain Rock Cats was on hand to help celebrate Baseball Day at ACES Village School in North Haven.
More than 140 students and staff participated in the event that celebrated a month-long study of baseball.
Rocky, along with ACES Village School Music Therapist Jaime Plancon, lead the students, staff and parents in a rousing sing-a-long of “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” while PTO moms provided popcorn and drinks for the 7th inning stretch.
