We are pleased to announce the first AESA New York/New England regional meeting on May 4 and 5 at the Cranwell Spa and Golf Resort in Lenox, Massachusetts. Registration is now open. We hope you will attend!
If you are not familiar with the facility, located in the Berkshires, we are confident that you will thoroughly enjoy the many amenities the conference center has to offer. A small planning group of your fellow agency leaders has been busy over the past six months planning what we expect will be an informative and worthwhile professional gathering. A draft of the agenda is attached. You will note that fellow educational service agency leaders will present a number of the workshops. In addition to those sharing opportunities, we look forward to a conversation with our Commissioners of Education, facilitated by Noelle Ellerson Ng, our AESA federal legislative lobbyist. Given that we will be about 100 days into the Trump administration in May, a discussion of the federal legislative agenda and administrative priorities will certainly be of great interest.
The reservation rate is $369 per person, per day, based upon single occupancy. The price includes room on Thursday May 4, luncheons on May 4 and 5, evening dinner on May 4 and breakfast on May 5. Given the limited number of rooms and what we anticipate will be a strong turnout from our combined membership, we encourage you to make your reservation at your earliest convenience.
Room reservations at the Cranwell Resort may be secured by contacting the staff at 1-800-cranwell between 8:00 am – 8:00 pm on weekdays and 9:00 am -5:00 pm on weekends. Reservations may also be accepted by email at reservations@cranwell.com.
Also there will be $110 conference participation fee that is intended to defray some of the costs of conducting the meeting. The conference fee may be paid by contacting Elaine Sein (esein@aces.org) and made payable by check or credit card to ACES (Area for Cooperative Services) in North Haven, CT. Online registration can be completed at https://registration.aces.org.
In closing, we encourage you to register and attend this most exciting regional AESA initiative that is being sponsored by the educational service agencies of New York and New England. If you have any questions please feel free to contact any of the planning committee members.
