ACES Celebrates 15th Annual Employer Recognition Dinner - Zip06.com
November 13th, 2014
North Haven Courier - Zip06.com
Area Cooperative Educational Services (ACES) held its 15th annual Employer Recognition Dinner on Oct. 15. More than 170 people joined ACES in celebrating the theme "Working Together for a Better Future." Peter Zelich, regional sales manager for Town Fair Tire, was the evening's keynote speaker.
Highlights included performances by ACES ECA Jazz Ensemble and student performers from ACES Whitney High School East. WQUN radio personality and general manager Ray Andrewsen served as master of ceremonies. The evening also featured student speakers from ACES Whitney High School North, ACES Whitney High School East/West, and ACES ACCESS program.
The evening honored the companies who work with ACES' vocational programs. Sixty-five companies received awards. These included Town Fair Tire, L'OREAL USA, InnerWorkings, Fresh Concepts, Highfield Manufacturing, HB Communications, Jewish Cemetery Association of New Haven, NAPSco, Covidien, Culin Art, Die Cut Paper Products, and the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce. ACES employees Keith Frost and Meloria (Lori) Stenson received awards for their outstanding service to ACES's vocational programs. The dinner was dedicated to Mike DiVernerio, a beloved 32-year ACES employee who passed away in April 2014.
