An Angel in Devil's Gear
December 20th, 2013
When a 7th and 8th grade reading teacher approached Matthew Feiner and
David Kahn, co-owners of The Devil’s Gear Bike Shop, seeking support for
the ACES Wintergreen Interdistrict Magnet School (WIMS) Mountain Bike
Club, he did not anticipate the generous reception he was to receive.
“The Devil’s Gear has again gone above any expectation for support that
I may have had. For the second time in two years they have taken a
brand new bike off the shop floor for me to use with my students. In
all, they support the ACES mission to provide enriching, community-based
activities for students who may not otherwise be able, ” expressed
Joseph Whiting, the Bike Club advisor and a 7^th & 8^th grade teacher
at ACES Wintergreen Interdistrict Magnet School. The ACES Wintergreen
Interdistrict Magnet School Mountain Bike Club just completed its Fall
2013 session. They enjoyed five perfect days to ride at West Rock State
Park, and the growth of this seventh grade group was phenomenal.
The Devil’s Gear Bike Shop was founded by Matthew Feiner in 2001, and is
located at 151 Orange Street in New Haven. For additional information go
