Dr. Lisa Simone Joins Esteemed 2024-25 Executives in Residence Leadership Program
[Bloomfield, CT] – The Association of Educational Service Agencies (AESA) is pleased to announce that Dr. Lisa Simone, Principal at Area Cooperative Educational Services (ACES), has been selected as a member of the 2024-25 Executives in Residence (EIR) cohort.
The EIR program is designed to cultivate future national leaders among Educational Service Agencies (ESAs) by providing an environment rich in mentorship from current executives and fostering opportunities for collaborative learning. Participants like Dr. Simone will engage in discussions, share services and programs, and contribute to special projects, all aimed at enhancing their leadership skills and expanding their professional networks.
Dr. Simone brings a wealth of experience from her leadership roles at ACES, where she oversees educational systems designed for youth in maximum-security detention centers and other at-risk populations. Her innovative approaches to alternative education and juvenile justice educational programs have made significant impacts on the communities she serves.
Upon her acceptance into the program, Dr. Simone stated, "I am honored to participate in the Executives in Residence program, which will allow me to deepen my leadership skills and collaborate with other educational leaders to enhance our impact on students' lives across the nation."
Dr. Joan Wade, Executive Director of AESA, commented, "Dr. Lisa Simone's dedication to transformative educational practice and her commitment to social justice make her a vital addition to the EIR cohort. Her experience will undoubtedly enrich the collective learning of the group and contribute significantly to our understanding of effective educational leadership."
The program will commence on July 16, 2024, during AESA’s Summer Leadership Conference and will continue until July 2025. During this period, Dr. Simone and her fellow cohort members will explore critical issues facing educational service agencies today, focusing particularly on educational equity, innovation, and leadership development.
For more information about the Executives in Residence program please contact Dr. Joan Wade at the details provided above.
