Evelyn Rossetti-Ryan, EdD was named Chief of Marketing & Outreach, a division of Area Cooperative Educational Services (ACES), a regional educational service center serving greater New Haven. In this role, she will oversee the new ACES Marketing & Outreach platform. ACES Marketing & Outreach division focuses on building agency capacity through advocacy, external partnerships and community engagement, public and media relations, the ACES Education Foundation, and ACES Translation Services. The Chief of Marketing & Outreach is part of the executive leadership team.
Evelyn joined ACES in 2010 as a consultant in the Professional Development & School Improvement (PDSI) division. She then joined ACES as a full-time member of the Program Development team where her focus was on grant writing and supporting the ACES Education Foundation. For the past five years, Evelyn has served as ACES Manager of Marketing and Public Relations. Since April 2017, she served as the Interim Chief of ACES Marketing & Outreach. Evelyn received a Bachelor of Arts degree in French and Elementary Education from Columbia University. She earned a Master of Arts in Teaching English as a Second Language from Teachers College, Columbia University (1991) where she was the recipient of a Carnegie Fellowship in Urban Education. She later earned her Doctorate of Education degree from Teachers College in Educational Administration (2005). In 2010, she was knighted Cavaliere dell’Ordine della Stella della Soldarieta (Order of the Star of Italian Solidarity) by the Italian Government for her work promoting Italian culture and commerce in the U.S. She is an active member of the Quinnipiac Chamber of Commerce, a volunteer with Special Olympics Connecticut, and a past Vice President of the Connecticut-chapter of the National Organization of Italian American Women.
“Evelyn brings great passion, energy, and strong interpersonal skills to this role. Her rich background in educational and non-profit communications, administration and marketing will be a great asset to ACES as we move forward with our new Design Plan. I look forward to working with her in this new leadership role and am confident that she will contribute to ACES growth and development in significant ways” said Dr. Thomas Danehy, ACES Executive Director.
